S P Setia Bhd took home the Project of the Year prize at the Malaysia Landscape Architecture Awards (MLAA) 2015 for its Lepironia Gardens project at Setia Eco Glades in Cyberjaya.
The project also won the Excellence Award under the “Parks & The City” category.
“We are truly honoured to emerge as the biggest winner of the evening,” president and chief executive officer Datuk Khor Chap Jen said in a statement.
Other awards which S P Setia won that night include Honours Award for its Garden of 8 Fountains at Setia Eco Park, Urban Park at Setia Alam, Eco Village at Setia Eco Gardens and a Merit Award for its Metamorphosis Park at Setia Eco Cascadia.
“Landscaping and green features have always been a priority in all our developments be it townships, highrise developments or commercial developments, locally or overseas projects and that is our commitment to our community,” Khor said.
Pioneering the concept of eco-themed townships in Malaysia is Setia Eco Park, where honour award recipient, Garden of the 8 Fountains, is located.
Conceptualised in 2007 by the Institute of Landscape Architecture Malaysia (ILAM), this is the 8th year the annual Malaysia Landscape Architecture Award is organised. - The Star
